Roles and Responsibilities

Collaboration & Consultation
Our school psychologists and speech therapists are essential collaborators. They partner with teachers, caregivers, and school staff to ensure students receive the support they need. This includes contributing to IEP development, leading team meetings, and guiding classroom staff to carry out effective strategies in real time.

Assessment & Diagnosis
Huddle Up school psychologists administer psycho-educational evaluations to identify learning disabilities, emotional challenges, and behavioral needs. Using tools like FBAs, PAR, and MHS assessments, they help tailor interventions to each student. Similarly, our speech-language pathologists (SLPs) assess and diagnose speech, language, cognitive, and social disorders to inform individualized care.

Behavioral & Educational Support
IEP School psychologists online and in-person play a key role in developing and implementing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), supporting emotional and academic growth. They also offer solution-focused counseling, lead social-emotional groups, and guide teachers with classroom-wide SEL strategies. SLPs reinforce this support by providing therapy sessions and assigning carry-over activities that extend progress beyond the classroom.

Documentation & Compliance
Our school psychologists and SLPs ensure that services meet state and federal guidelines. They maintain accurate records, write IEPs, submit timely progress reports, and coordinate care through tools like Huddle Up’s Family Care Hub. They also manage caseloads and facilitate student placement decisions when needed.
